WideWired vs traditional SD-WAN:
one platform, multiple transport choices.
WideWired brings software-first networking and dedicated transport into one platform. By default, Direct and In-Network Device Forwarding paths carry traffic at no usage charge, with metered Global Dedicated Transmission available through Transport Optimization. Enterprise designs can use fixed-bandwidth, all-private transport on selected paths or across the WAN when predictable capacity or contractual delivery is required.
Use the default model when
- Traffic varies and cost should follow actual Global Dedicated Transmission use
- Software-only sites need to come online before a circuit is delivered
- Free paths, Global Dedicated Transmission and selected dedicated transport should work together
Use an all-private design when
- Every path requires fixed, committed capacity
- Procurement requires contractual delivery for the full WAN
- On-site CPE and dedicated transport are part of the enterprise design
Competitor pricing and limits are quoted from public product and pricing pages as of August 2026 and may change - check their site for current terms.
One platform, multiple transport choices.
Use Direct and In-Network Device Forwarding paths where they meet the requirement, metered Global Dedicated Transmission through Transport Optimization where fallback is enough, and dedicated all-private transport where fixed capacity or contractual delivery is required.
