# Insights

> Use Traffic, Quality and Logs to inspect network activity, path changes and configuration changes.

## Traffic

Every page under **Insights** is scoped to the selected network and time range. **Traffic** provides:

- Average-bandwidth trend, traffic ranking, and five-tuple details including flow counts.
- Traffic detail, filterable by node.

When the selected window has no flows, the page stays in place and shows the most recent flow record. Use **Last 7d** only when that record falls within seven days; an empty window is not a query failure.

## Quality

Filter links by source and destination. The page prioritizes actionable anomalies such as threshold breaches or frequent path changes; missing samples alone are not treated as a network fault. Selecting a link opens one synchronized diagnosis containing:

- directional RTT and packet-loss trends;
- path-change markers and evidence such as trigger, before/after quality and failure counters.

The two directions remain separate. A short interval without new data does not interrupt the trend; an interval longer than six minutes appears as a gap. Fresh 100% packet loss remains visible even when no reliable RTT exists. For a performance regression, inspect the trends and path events, then open the link's path policy under **Configuration → Links**.

## Logs

**Logs** records account and network configuration changes, including:

- device registration, approval, blocking, unblocking, update, leave and deletion;
- peer relay changes;
- network creation, update, address-range change and deletion;
- link policy, forward-rule and route-configuration changes.

Use **Logs** as the source when establishing who changed a setting and when.

## Data and privacy

Insights record communication relationships, traffic volume and quality metrics, not communication contents. Device traffic remains end-to-end encrypted, and relay nodes cannot read payloads.

## Quick troubleshooting

| Symptom | Check and action |
| --- | --- |
| Every chart is empty | Confirm the selected network and check that it has an approved, online device |
| A new device has no charts | Confirm approval and online state, then wait for its first observation report |
| Traffic is empty while links work | Read the most recent flow time, expand to 7 days when offered, and confirm traffic existed in that period |
| RTT or loss rises suddenly | Select the affected link and event, then compare its path identity and path-policy threshold |
| A page reports a query failure | Retry later; if persistent, record network ID, time range and occurrence time for support |
