Alerts
Find active network problems, inspect affected devices and links, and confirm recovery.
Find an alert
Select the network and open Insights → Alerts. Start with Current alerts, then use the status, time range, Component and search filters to find earlier occurrences. The active-alert card in Overview also opens this page.
Open a record to see the affected object, problem, start time, duration, and recovery or close time when available.
Handle the underlying problem
| Affected object | Where to continue |
|---|---|
| Offline device | Configuration → Devices: inspect approval, last communication and the client or app |
| Link quality or connectivity | Insights → Quality: compare directional trends and path events; inspect policy under Configuration → Links |
| A forwarding exit in use | Configuration → Forwarding: check the selected exit, its online state and the affected rules |
Device offline alerts must be enabled for that device; see Devices. Intentionally suspended settings and Global Dedicated Transmission outside its time plan do not represent failures.
Confirm recovery or close a record
Alerts recover automatically when the condition clears. Confirm that the affected device or application works and inspect the recovery time.
Manual closure requires a reason. Closing a record does not repair the affected device, link or exit. Use a reason that explains what was checked or why the occurrence is being closed.
Quick troubleshooting
| Symptom | Check and action |
|---|---|
| An offline device has no alert | Check its offline-alert setting, the selected network and filters; the setting is off by default |
| A closed alert did not restore connectivity | Diagnose the device or link; closing the record does not change its configuration |
| An old alert is missing | Choose Recovered or All and expand the selected period |
| The issue has cleared but the alert remains active | Wait for a fresh report, confirm recovery in the affected page, then contact Getting support if it persists |
